This famous beautiful spot straddles Akita and Aomori prefectures. The scenery is beautiful throughout all four seasons, but the lush green of the spring and deep colors in the fall are particularly stunning. Walking paths along the lakeside, sightseeing boats, and rental bicycles are all popular among visitors.
It is the oldest wooden theater in Japan. Thought of as a living theater, performances of kabuki as well as normal plays are performed here, and the backstage areas is a must see.
This is a theme park made from the old Kosaka Tetsudo Railway. There are exhibits of steam and diesel locomotives, and visitors can experience driving a train. Family or friends can enjoy a whole day of fun here.
